West Coast Sporting Surfaces was subcontracted to complete a 60 metre indoor training facility and exterior side lines to the oval at the new home of the West Coast Eagles, which is located at Mineral Resources Park in Lathlain.
The layout of the training facility was thoughtfully designed, capable of continuing training sessions even in adverse weather conditions like rain or extreme heat.
Ligaturf HB 250 was the system of choice due to its well-established reputation as an elite product for professional football turf systems.
One of the system’s key features is its combination of fibrillated and monofilament sports yarn, which not only ensures the turf’s durability and resilience but also reduces the content of SBR infill, mitigating issues like splash and surface heat. Equally important, the shock pad layer integrated into the system plays a vital role in shock absorption, thereby enhancing player safety and minimising the risk of injuries.
